Well, it's been quite an adventure! These past few months have been fun and stressful!
I finished up April with Spring break. It was a relaxing Spring break at home. Nothing too exciting.
May came, a VERY busy month. We had: Canstruction, Teacher Appreciation Week, Relay for Life, our field trip to St. Augustine, finish selling yearbooks, start wrapping up the year, FCAT Writing scores, and FCAT Reading/Math scores.
June came, a somewhat busy month. We had: End of the Year, End of the Year luncheon, and then SUMMER (which I am on now).
Some news that occurred over the past few months:
1) Our FCAT writing scores were phenomenal! We went up 30%! From 70% to 91%. We were soo excited. But the, fourth and fifth grade reading and math scores came in. Not soo hot. We stayed the same in Reading (72%) and dropped 5% in Math (70%). Fifth grade was a little worse off. So next year we will be working on that.
2) I sold all 169 yearbooks!! I only had to sell 151 of them, but I sold the 18 extra that they sent me! Woo hoo! I'm so excited all my hard work paid off.
3) I was offered the Reading Coach position at my school! So next year I will be out of the classroom! I'm excited for this position. After 4 years, I think I'm ready to step out of the classroom and try a different position.
4) I had 2 days off from work, then I had 2 trainings (one for 3 days, the other for 4). I enjoy working. The trainings have been very educational and fun! I got to learn a lot more about my coworkers!!
5) The weekends of June have been tremendously busy!! June 3-4 was the only week free, June 11-12: Brian's birthday party, June 18-19: Betsy's birthday party (at our house) and then MIL day (while Brian had step-father day!), June 24-25: Grams, Gramps, and the fam are coming to our house! Pfhew! Tiring
Brian and I aren't expecting any baby yet. Still just waiting for the timing. We decided to try a few times, but when the expected due date calculator told me that it would be in March, we stopped. So it looks like we're going to wait until July to start trying fully.
I've been taking prenatals for about 3 months now. Unfortunately, my store bought vitamins are just about to run out. The good thing: free prenatals! How? You ask, well let me tell you! My insurance company has this program called "Healthy Babies Program." If you sign up before you get pregnant they will give you $200 after you have the baby. Free money, why not? Well, all you have to do is sign up for the program, get prescription prenatals, and take Lamaze classes. I can do that! I signed up for the program and got my "exemption" of prenatals. I had my prescription sent over from the doctors and my first prescription of prenatals filled. Next week I will start them.
I'm signing off. I will continue to let you know of the journey of trying to conceive! As of right now, the journey is a standstill at just taking prenatals! Butt I'm sure I will update more as I'm out of school and just hanging around! :)
